AFRICAN ROCK PYTHON

Python sebae sebae

African Rock Pythons are found in all of Africa except the north.  Due to their large size potential and aggressive tendencies, these pythons are not a good choice for beginners.  With frequent and proper handling, trust will be established between the snake and its handlers.  Once this occurs, most Rock Pythons will become and remain tame.  These powerful constrictors should still be handled with caution and respect.  They are more active at night but often roam around during the day as well.
