These
lizards are native to Africa where they live in dry, barren, rocky deserts.

Temperature range: Day 85°-95° F Night 75°-85° F Basking 105° F
Lighting: Full spectrum florescent UV bulbs and a basking light
are required.
Food: Diet should consist of crickets, mealworms, or waxworms coated with a high quality calcium and multi-vitamin supplement.
Water: A bowl of fresh, clean water should be provided
daily and mist moderately each morning.
Housing/Habitat: Red Head Agamas should be
housed in a dry terrarium with an under tank heating pad at one end and soft
sand or desert mix substrate. Landscape
to simulate rocky habitats, provide hiding places, and basking areas.
